Geo Files - Secrets of Medieval War

Postby Erich Wagner » Tue Apr 08, 2003 3:49 pm

Did anyone else see this National Geographic program? It shows some rather horrific examples of damage resulting from Medieval weaponry based on remains found and attributed to the Battle of Towton during the War of the Roses.

Program synopsis...

Geo Files
Secrets of Medieval War

To many, the Wars of the Roses hold a romantic place in history. Pictures of knights and chivalry obscure the true brutality of war. The discovery of a mass grave in England, however, and the search for the identity of its occupants will forever change our ideas about these bloody wars.

Erich,

Do you know if it will be airing again?

I find these type of documentaries very interesting. It clearly shows the horrific and brutal reality of Medieval warfare.
