Cut-and-Thrust wasters

Postby JeremyDillon » Mon Dec 04, 2006 7:09 pm

Having just recieved a copy of Renaissance Swordsmanship I'm anxious to try out some techniques with the cut-and-thrust sword, but, although I've seen many pictures of cut-and-thrust wasters in use, they continue to evade me. Where can these be purchased?

Hollow Earth Swordworks has some available. I'm not sure these are what all the pictures are of, but I believe that many members find their quality more than acceptable.

Hmm, it apears as if they are currently unavailable. Thanks, though, I'll keep an eye on the site.

Cut and thrust wasters are the best product Hollow Earth makes in my opinion. They are nicely balanced, comfortable in the hand and very solidly constructed, and they still look good too. I don't like some of their other designs, but I love my C&T and others of theirs I have handled. The main thing to know about Hollow Earth is that their main market is Renn fairs, so they tend to travel a lot and sell out their stock and customer service can be very slow.

It says that the Model #3 is unavailable. I believe the first 2 are still for sale.

I too have a Hollow Earth cut & thrust waster and I love it. Like Stacy I find Hollow Earth's other swords to be good but not as good as some of the other vendors.
But Hollow Earth's cut & thrust is the top of the line for that style of waster.
