Hello All,
Although I find myself with no more free time today vs when I intended on joining up six months ago, several pieces have fallen into place. I am attending my first NTP 1.0 in Ohio on Feb 2nd and 3rd with my younger brother and could use a few pointers to make sure we are prepped when we go.
I am an outdoorsman and a history buff so I picked up John Clements book on medieval swordsmanship about a year ago, read it, and am now going back through it again. I ordered a hand and a half wooden waster from NSA and received it a few weeks ago after trolling the forums, but haven’t had time to drill with it. (Between Christmas and buying my first house this has been on the backburner for a little while). If any of you have any tips for me, I would love to know what I can do to prepare for the NTP 1.0 (drills, exercises, etc.). Also I could use some suggestions for equipment, shoes in particular. I have plenty of sweats and T’s but my manly footwear selection consists of only dress shoes for work, hiking boots, and snow boots. I assume any pair of low top tennis shoes will work but if I am buying new anyway – may as well look for the right stuff.
I appreciate the help,
Nate
