don't forget that we have what is written on the Italian Rotella or round shield as well to help us with our interpretations of sword and shield in addition to the other sources you mentioned.

I haven't forgotten. Still, our interpretations on early sword and shield are no more than extrapolated and educated guesswork until a period medieval sword and shield source-text emerges. 8)

I really can't diagree with that. Are you going to be bringing a shield to the International event? If so, I may bring mine, I have been wanting to have a talk with you about sword and shield with weapons in hand for awhile now.

No. I'm afraid armour and wasters are all I can smuggle aboard the jet. Still, I'd gladly be taught a lesson at your hands even though sword and shield is far from my area of greatest skill. Stu completely owned me in sword and buckler freeplay the last time I saw him in Houton so as you guys spend much time in those pursuits, I'd expect you'd do as well.

We actually will have a long over due article defining "WMA" as it relates to our subject of Renaissance martial arts ("RMA") this month that has been in the works since last summer.
