Landau Padding

The sword blueprint on this site suggests 7/8 inch thick padding to put on the outside of the blade. However, all I can find is 1/4 thick. Should I just layer that? Anyone have a place I can order it thick enough to meet the specifics? I'm in Kentucky, someone on this site (can't recall who sorry) said that in Louisville there was a place called Baer Fabrics that sells it, but they only sells 1/8 or 1/4 inch thick. Solutions are a beautiful thing :)

I'm kind of lucky here. I get 1/2, 1/4, and 1/8 padding thicknesses, and I just layer one of each of those.

I'd just layer and get as close as possible, I've actually used two 1/2" layers, without any noticable ill effects.
