I don't know if this is something to be proud of

But I just got to the point where I could hold a two handed sword one handed and move it around like nothing.

Then I pick up my Cold Steel Hand And A Half and move that thing around like it was paper.

Progress (however small) is always something to be proud of. :D

Well, that surely couldn't hurt. Still, it's far better to be able to hit the other guy like a ton of bricks without getting hit than to flick a blade around like paper.

I'll say this though, if you can move it like a feather and all your basics are solid, you are on the right track!... :D

Of course, it's good. I fight one handed with a longsword quite frequently.

You can use more than one hand on a longsword?

I ment like a two handed sword. Not a Hand and a Half. Where you need two hands to hold it.
I think my gripping str. Has increased and lifting weights lol!

I go over blocks and strikes with a weighted pole and then add weights to it to increase str.

Then I move to a greatsword to bring down the weight and then move to the Hand and a Half.

I have been working on some Longsword and buckler stuff here as of late(very interesting combination) and going to one hand, on a hand and a half sword using the off hand to push and grab and such, I find my sword hand the pinky portion of my hand get's tired if i do it too much though.

Great! Pretty soon you'll be able to swing two 40 pound swords, and fight 4 level 15 fighters at once!

No really... thats pretty awesome.
