He is a smith based out of the southwest states in America (I can't remember which one, I think Nevada). He specializes in Pattern Welded (damascus) blades. I have never handled one of his, but I will own one. He wrote books to help beginning bladesmiths. Jody Samson (of Albion) has worked with him before. I think his work is beautiful, but I don't know how it wields.

Ahhh,

Doctor Jim Hrisoulas. He does beautiful pattern welding, his finish work is nice and his twisted wire grips are a joy to behold. However, I have yet to handle one of his swords that felt right in my hand. I have talked to him on more that one occasion and he is a nice fellow, but unless something has changed since I last handled some of his work about 8 years ago, he just doesn't have his mass distribution right on his swords.

hope this helps.
