I've been lurking for a couple days after re-discovering the site, and I finally went ahead and signed up.
I stumbled across the site back in 2003 after first discovering SwordForum and falling in love with Angus's EKS (although I still haven't purchased one, I've been considering it).
I bought a few books back in 2003 (John's two books, a few Oakeshott books) but some other things in life intervened and I didn't have the time or money to put into another thing.
Now I'm thinking of getting involved with ARMA... I see there's an NTP coming up in western VA but I don't think I'll be able to make that one.
Most of my books are boxed at my parents' house, so I'm going to do dig them up in the next couple weeks, and probably join ARMA.
Then what should I look at buying? A waster I imagine? The plastic ones look very interesting, would I be better off buying one of those, or a wooden one? The size sword that interests me is in the range of Gus's EKS, which looks like the size of the WI Wasters arming sword.
Looking forward to joining in and learning from everyone here.
