Introduction and South Carolinian search.

Postby Jason Clemons » Thu Dec 06, 2007 8:21 pm

Greetings all.

My name is Jason Clemons, and I am brand new to the group. I was wondering if there were any South Carolina practice groups about, preferably in the Columbia area.

I have been involved with staged combat, primarily due to that being what was available at the time, but would like to take this to (what I view as) the next level.

My stylistic leanings are more Viking-era Norse than anything else (as my own heritage is Nordic), and would I love to further my abilities. My swordmaker of preference is Starfire Swords, although I'm considering learning blacksmithing as well.

Hello Jason and welcome.
I am in Columbia and though there is not an official study group there are a few around that will do some occasional work. I'll discuss the rest with you via private message.

Old thread, but I'm new. I'm in Clemson. Is anyone else around here?

Well, I know there's a study group in Athens, GA which is only 1.5 hours from Clemson, SC, and a couple of people in Suwanee, GA.

You can find the contact info for the Athens group on the Practice Partners page. Good luck with finding people closer to home; there's always someone out there that's going to be interested.

I've been out of the loop for a while but am still around.
