Non-weapon equipment

Postby Jamie Fellrath » Thu May 22, 2003 9:35 am

Hi all,

I've seen a lot of posts that talk about such things as period clothing, footwear, gauntlets, and sparring pads... I thought it might be a good idea to collect this information for use by our members (and anyone else who's interested, of course - don't want to exclude anyone).

I've got a few items I've collected via a scan of our forums here, including knee breeches, the Triplette 3-weapon mask, Forced Entry Gloves from Galls to be used as sparring gloves, and gauntlets from Valentine Armories.

I've asked a couple of you via email to expand on your experiences with period clothing as I think it would help our members greatly, but I'd like to invite people to send me your impressions of equipment you have. Please send these entries to me at jfellrath@yahoo.com?Subject=WMA Equipment .

If you'd like to contribute, please include the maker of the equipment, the item name, an internet link to the item if available, the price you found, and any comments (good or bad) on the item itself.

If you have comments on the items I mentioned above, please let me know as well.

Keep in mind that I'm just doing NON-WEAPON equipment at the present. If this goes well enough I might expand the database to include wasters and such, but let's keep it simple for the time being.

I'll be posting this information on a website that I'm working on right now as soon as I can.
