My training blunt is 55" long. It weighs 4 lbs but has a nice taper so the weight is all near the handle. I find it pretty manageable. I enjoy the extra reach, but I am also very aware that I have about 3 feet of "weak" and have to factor that into my fight.

3 feet of "weak" on a 4 and a 1/2 foot sword? What are fencing with the hilt? :P

I'm no expert but that balance seems a bit off to me? How close is the weigth actually to the handle?

Cheers & God Bless!

Sorry Grant, I was not being exact on my measures I was just trying to get the point across that my longer sword has a much larger "weak" that can be used against me. Its not a problem if you are aware of it and anticipate people trying to take advantage of it.

Here are the actual specs:

Alchem Meyer Sword (made to order).
length: 54.5 "
blade: 42.5 "
hilt: 12 "
pob 3.5 "
weight: 4 lbs
Price: $250
