Partially due to a severely broken finger and partially due to changing life priorities (moved far away to live with a signifigant other) I let my ARMA training slip by the way side and went on to become a reasonably well known kickboxer (12th in the world as early as last year).
As as, i find myself missing my ARMA training. I'm currently down in atlanta and have gotten a few people interested in trying out something new so I'm going to officially renew my membership soon and get back on the bandwagon.
At the moment I am out of serious training with a broken nose but am about to start accumulating equipment (albion federschwerters, gambesons, fencing masks, maybe even full harness soon) and I wanted to know if anyone out there was interested in getting together with me to start to work out some of the logistics of training and maybe do some light technical work until I can really go at it.
My technical knowledge (terminology in particular) is rusty as are my physical skills to some degree or another, but I am a fantastic athlete and really love to put the "martial" back into martial art. I was on the verge of testing for general free scholar when my injury put me out.
Please don't let the fact that I am a woman scare off any of you rough and tumble boys. I'm sure all the guys here that have met me will vouch that you can really go at it with me. I will make you feel like you're in a fight
Suggestions on where to accumulate equipment would be appreciated as would interested folks in the atlanta area.
