Stephen

Shops at malls and shopping centerings normally do not sell swords that are safe for test cutting (or practice). Most of these swords are not functional and are what we would call a "Sword-Like-Object" (SLO) or a "wall hanger". SLOs will often quickly break from the stress of even light cuts. Some SLOs will even break from the stress of being handled! I would suggest ordering a sword from Albion. If an Albion sword is outside of your budget then I would suggest posting a message on the myArmoury.com form seeking advice and suggestions on the lower end functional swords.
