Question about 18th & 19th Century Historical Manuals

I was wondering how practical the content of the manuals in the Research & Reading section Old Swordplay, Cold Steel, and Hungarian & Highland Broad Sword are compared to the content of earlier manuals

I haven't read any of those books, but I have a semi-similar question.

Has anyone read any of the books of Guy Windsor? If so, what are your thoughts on them?
