In a sense, this is really two articles, one on "real" swords and the other a report on our recent Swedish Royal Armory research visit.

This article makes for thought provoking reading;"Just why AREN'T the swordmakers producing more accurate weapons?",thats the million dollar question it seems...If only we could get the swordmakers in the community to take to heart the lessons and insight shared therein,perhaps we'd see a new Renaissance in historically-accurate weapon design and construction...and that would be all to the good! <img src="/forum/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />
