rubber halberd head?

Postby Greg Coffman » Wed Nov 05, 2008 2:52 pm

Does anybody know of a maker of rubber halberd heads. I know Purpleheart Armoury has some rubber poleaxe heads and leather halberd heads but we boycott them for good reasons. Does anybody else have comparable products? And if not, how would one go about getting some made? Ideas?

Greg

Revival.us sells a poleaxe with a rubber head (see link below). While not perfect it might allow you to practice halberd techniques. I own one and really like it. I will bring it to practice the next time you come to a DFW practice.

Ran,

How hard is the rubber head?

Ran, thanks for the response. I didn't know you had one of those. How long have you had it? I don't know the next time I will be able to come to a practice but I'd like to try sometime before December. The poleaxe head looks strikingly like the one Purpleheart Armoury sells. I know I've found Purpleheart wasters for sale on other sites. Can you be sure that the one Revival.us sells is not from Purpleheart? Perhaps the manufacture is a third party that sells through both Purpleheart and Revival. I'm pretty sure that it is the same product. If it's a third party manufacturer then I might be interested in contacting the company to see about getting halberd heads made.

I also have a poleaxe from Revival, and while I'm satisfied with the end product I would never order from them again due to their customer service. I'm normally willing to give someone the benefit of the doubt if they communicate with you and immediately start to fix their mistake, but that didn't come close to happening with my order (or the orders of 2 other people I know).
