NSA ARMA Cut & Thrust Wasters

Postby Webmaster » Tue Jan 20, 2009 9:40 pm

These fine 16th century style cut-and-thrust/side-sword wasters are now available from New Stirling Arms, modeled based on ARMA specifications.

Neato. Any way we could get a clearer pic of the waster? The one posted gets the point across but it's blurry enough that I can't clearly make out all of the features i.e. pommel shape, and the NSA site has no pics as of yet.

Not to derail this thread, but can anyone give me information on the shoes the two swordsmen in the photo are wearing?

I'd also be interested in any additional information you can provide about the wasters.

Steve

P.S. Hmmm...seems that Ilkka and I have coincidentally selected the same avatar. I guess it figures as we're both obsessed with Bolognese swordsmanship...

The prototype I handled at Iron Door Studio last summer handled beautifully. It was slightly different than this one, but not much. I expect these to be just as sweet.

I don't know about those shoes, but I have had a pair of Asics brand wrestling shoes:

last me for years of hard use.
