New here and looking for local study group.

Hello,

My name is Daniel Duff and I am from Buford Georgia. I work in water treatment and I am also in the Navy Reserves. I was wondering if there are any active study groups in or near my area. Any advice or a point in the right direction would be great. Thanks

ARMA Director John Clements lives in Georgia (Atlanta area IIRC)depending on your ability to travel. You really can't a better WMA teacher than that.

Welcome to the forum. I'm pretty sure there is a Study Group in Athens Georgia as well.

What do you do in water treatment (I'm a Hydrology major, such things interest me)?

Hello,

Yes, like Jaron said, our director lives near Atlanta. You can contact him for information at thearma@comcast.net

Matt is correct, there is a study group in Athens at the University of Georgia, of which I am a member. We're kind of winding down our activity in the next few weeks because of the summer, but there are also a few other members scattered around Atlanta.

I will send you a PM with my email address and we can continue our conversation there.

Welcome and I hope to get to meet you soon.

Thanks

Matt,
I work at Lanier Filter Plant where I test for water quality, adjust and maintain ozone, and watch the pressure in the distribution system.

Thanks everyone for your help. I hope to meet some of the local people soon. Summer is going to be big for me too I have a trip to Morocco and I have several activities with my naval reserve unit. I was hoping to meet people who were willing to help me get involved and thus feel confidant I could grow in this discipline if I joined.
