Postby Steven Blakely » Tue May 05, 2009 8:10 pm

I am interested in buying a coerectly weighted and crafted rapier. my question is. from who? im looking to spend two or three grand. but what im looking for is a trustworthy smithy. I know that albion is taking orders for there cut and thrust swords from there mystro line but i dont know if there actually making them yet. and paul is no longer with us. so any ideas?

If you're willing to spend that much, I've only ever seen two replica rapiers that felt like the real thing, both owned by Hank Reinhardt and both custom. One was from some individual smith he knew whose name I never caught and the other was done by Raven Armoury:

It's been years since I've seen them, but I remember both were wicked, evil things that whispered "kill, kill" into your fevered brain as you held them...

Hahahaha! Man, that is exactly what I heard when I held Albion's messer, the Soldat.
