How to join ARMA

Postby Michal Kamola » Wed Jun 03, 2009 4:46 am

Hey guys. I sent email to the ARMA mail (thearma@comcast.net) on the 22nd of MAY from my company mail (michal.kamola@ie.dsv.com.) and received no answer so far.
Do I just wait or what?

Copy of my mail:

Dear ARMA,

My name is Michal Kamola and I’m Polish, but currently living in Dublin, Ireland.

I am about to set up a small (3-4 people) historical fencing training group.

I believe that so far nobody residing in Ireland is ARMA member.

All of us have previous experience with some re-enactment sword fighting, edge-on-edge mostly.

As the group will be of mixed Polish-Irish nationality I thought I’d contact the main ARMA rather than ARMA-PL.

I was planning to base our trainings on “ Sigmund Ringeck’s Knightly art of the Longsword” by David Lindholm and Peter Svard, but I noticed that you offer a set training program.

Would you care to describe what exactly do you offer and in what form does it come?

As for the membership- should we register as a group(with no experience so far I presume we would be kind of pre-registered group-to-be) or as separate members?

I will await your answers and hints at what to do next.

Regards

Michal Kamola

I know John has been swamped since getting back from the Martial Arts Conference in Portugal. I would recommend sending a reminder email if you don't hear from him by the end of the week.
