All,
I am new to historical martial arts. I have accumulated a few of the main fighting books and built a waster, and now I am looking for some groups. I contacted John Sheetz on the sparring group list, but not sure if he is out of town or not active. Is anyone meeting or know of people meeting in this area?
Thx

Where exactly do you live, and how far are you willing to travel to practice?

Hey, John Sheetz recently changed his email address, so I'll PM you about our contact info. I'll also zap John an email about your interest too.

We meet in south New Jersey every almost every Wednesday (except thanksgiving week), and if you could join us that'd be great!

Send me that too if you could so I can update the Practice Partners page if John doesn't mind. Send it to webmaster@thearma.org.

I'm in the South Jersey area and I'm interested in starting training as well. Is the information (email contact) on the practice partners page on this website accurate now?

Thanks.

Yes, although John rarely checks his email--he gets a lot of emails about interest in ARMA, but very few bodies actually show up :P

I'll tell him to keep an eye out for you though.

Unfortunately in the past few weeks turnout has been low since everyone's been having issues with summer activities, but hopefully we'll pick up pace after a while.

Tell me about it. I also get inquiries, duly provide practice times/locations.....and then people don't show up. It can get frustrating.

I wonder when all these time/location giveaways are gonna make ninjas try to attack us during practice.

That'll make for some really interesting training.

I still haven't gotten any time/location, or response to my email. Can you PM a contact number or just the meetup location to me?

Done and done.

Mark and Chris, if you're still having trouble getting in contact with John let me know.

The past few weeks have been awful because of numerous summer events (I just started grad school), so I apologize on behalf of everyone in ARMA SNJ if lack of communication has caused you to miss out on a few classes.

I'm not officially the "contact man," although I seem to have taken that role :P
