Postby Jacob Newbom » Sat Jul 09, 2011 4:39 am

Hello! I am a HEMA solo student (out of practice) whom just moved to Seattle. Any groups or solo guys looking for partners? I am thirsting for practice. Been YEARS.
I am most interested in Sword and Buckler and Longsword. But anything will make me happy. At least knowledge that there are some practitioners, ARMA or not.
Hit me up!

Hi, I'm bit north of Seattle (Mountlake Terrace) and interested in those same forms. However, I have no experience beyond skimming a few books trying to mimic a few youtube videos; trying to find where to begin is pretty daunting.

I have a friend that also has a longsword and did eastern martial arts for years including sword practice but is currently similarly out of practice. We have messed around with kendo sticks a few times but without instruction, only metal blades (Dull practice ones), and no safety equipment, we felt it was best to put the western stuff on hold a bit.

That said, I've been wanting to get into it for a while now and I'd love to see if others are interested in forming a group as well.
