codex dobringer full copy?

Postby Kody Tench » Thu Sep 22, 2011 8:41 pm

Is there a full English copy of codex dobringer??? As in the full manuscript including alchemical texts and staff work? I can't seem to find one online and would really love to get the full thing. If its only in German I would be dine with it too but it would be much harder to use as I only speak and read English. If I can get a copy or link it would be appreciated thanks ahead of time.

I would be *very* surprised, if you were to find such a thing. We have a microfiche/microfilm copy somewhere that I used to transcribe parts of the fencing treatise for our research back in 2005. All in all, it is not the easiest thing to read and different parts were written by different people, forcing you to adapt to a new handwriting each time.
Additionally, it will not be possible to just "translate" the text. To get the possible meanings right, you'd have to put down several possible meanings for each fraction of a sentence. As there wouldn't be a large body of people interested in the remainder of the text -os opposed to the part containing the fencing lore- chances of this happening would be slim.
