Practitioners in Minnesota

Postby Alexander Paizis » Fri Apr 27, 2012 11:17 pm

Hello all, first post here. I'm a newbie, and I'm interested in meeting up with at least one person to start learning the longsword.

I'm located in Rochester, MN. I was wondering if the Twin Cities ARMA still meets regularly, or if there is anyone near me that would be interested in getting together for some practice sessions.

Thanks!

Hi Alexander,
The Twin Cities group does meet regularly (Saturday mornings at the moment, but that may change over the summer). If you're interested in driving up here or otherwise engaging with the group contact me off list.

There is also an ARMA member outside of Rochester. I haven't talked or practiced with him since last summer though , so I'm not sure how active he is at the moment.

ARMA Twin Cities meets in White Bear Lake (NE suburb of St. Paul) on Saturday mornings at 6:30. PM me or contact Steve Pangerl at the e-mail on the Practice Partners page for details.

Thanks Mr. and Mrs. Pangerl. I will try to make it up to the cities sometime if I can. A friend and I get together every few weeks to practice a bit, but it's nothing formal. It would be nice to attend an actual group session. Thanks!

My friend and I met with Heather Gilbertson, who was kind enough to meet up with us when she was near us. She talked a lot about the group in the cities, and the benefits of being members, as well as some suggestions on gear and training. We were very grateful for her info, and we will be signing up for memberships soon, if all goes well.
