Summer Course at Bronselplassen Museum Norway.

Hi Folks,
Flowing on from the highly successful course earlier this summer we now announce the 2nd Course Medieval Combat Course.
Colin Richards, Instructor Warriors Way Historical European Martial Arts, will be teaching a 4 day introductionary course on HEMA starting on Monday 18th August 2003 for four days until 21st August 2003.
Course curriculum will depend on the level of proficiency of those attending. Colin has 25 years experience in Martial Arts.
Day 1 Basic movement, tactical thinking, Stance, holding weapons, and much more.
Day 2 Fiore De Liberi Wrestling and Dagger.
Day 3 Fiore De Liberi Long sword used single and two handed.
Day 4 I33: Sword and Buckler seminar.
Alternatives: Viking period Sword and Shield, Axe and Shield, Dane Axe. Spear and Quarter staff.
Each attendee will recieve a hand out on Medieval Dagger, Principles from Liberi, and a each day, course notes.
Hands on tutorship from one of the most experienced HEMA instructor in Europe.

If enough people request Dave Rawlings can come as a guest instructor to do German Long Sword and I33.
The HEMA course costs 500 NOK per Day, (£45 approx, 65 Euro or dollars approx, contact for exact price). This is a 6 hour course per day, and usually involves a bit of test cutting in the evening. Bronseplassen is easy to get to from the rest of Europe. From England ferry from Newcastle upon Tyne to Kristiansand, then only 10 miles to Bronseplassen!! Or fly Ryan Air to Oslo Torp and get the bus to Kristiansand and we can pick you up. Or Fly to Kjevic Airport and we pick you up in 15 minutes!
Denmark - go to Hirtsals in north Jutland and get the Ferry to Kristiansand, then 10 miles (16 Km) to Bronseplassen.
Sweden - go to Gothenburg and get the Ferry to Kristiansand then 10 miles (16 Km) to Bronseplassen!
