Higgins Armory

Postby Laurent Marshall » Sun Dec 21, 2003 6:34 pm

I just found out that the Higgins Armory Museum in Worcestor Mass. does some classes in WMA.

Anyone know anything about these guys? It'd be real convenient for me to go there, Worcestor's only a half hour - 45mins away from me.

I'd really like to get in there and see their collection, it looks pretty extensive, judging by their website. Seeing as its christmas break, I'll probly be able check it out either this week or the week after. Holler if you want an update.

They are a good group of people. Jeffery Forgeng has done much translation work, including the recent translation of the RA I-33. He has also done a lot of work on Meyer.

Several of the longer serving people there are members of the Guild, including Jeffery.

If you haven't been there yet go along and have a look. At the end of the day, it al depends on whether you like the atmosphere of any place you train.

All the best

Jonathan

I went there a few weeks ago. There collection of armor is impressive. I didn't get a chance to check out there training though, although I'd like too. Especially since theres no one else in my area practing WMA.

Laurent,
I belong to a small group of ARMA members in upstate NY. We have been considering checking them out as an introduction to Meyer. If you decide to go again maybe we can meet up. Feel free to pm or email me through the e-list.
