Great looking site, Lance!

I especially enjoyed the Sparring Tips, Knowledge, and Video sections! A must browse/view for anyone involved/interested in realistic H2H armed combat.

Thanks for your kind words. As for the meeting, I hope so too. In fact, I tried to head to USA once last year to meet you guys but got my VISA application refused. :\

Not that much a secret, just some ordinary materials like fabric, metal, close celled foam, some kind of PVC core (as far as I know, not available in USA)... Nothing interesting to mention, I guess.

Hi Lance,

Are these covered in plastic or vinyl or some other coating material? I can't tell from the photos. Also, how do they handle blade against blade, are they slick or slippery or sticky?

One piece of advice though, the "bastard sword" you list there is actually not a bastard sword by any definition of the term, neither by length nor blade shape nor handle configuration. Rather, what you have there it's just a warsword or longsword.
Cold weather also had nothing to do with it's style as it was commonly used in Southern Europe and carried into the mIddle east. Additionally, one of its great virtues is that it was used to strike with either edge.
