Fiore's 'Fior di Battaglia' translation online

Postby Matt Easton » Sun Nov 10, 2002 2:28 pm

Ok ok - it's only a taster - it's the prologue!
Just go to the Schola Gladiatoria site ( http://mysite.freeserve.com/scholagladiatoria ) and you can find it easily on the second volume of our site ( http://mysite.freeserve.com/scholagladiatoria2 ).
This is from the Getty version by the way, if you didn't already know that.
There will be news soon regarding the rest of the translation.

By the way - click 'refresh' on each page of the site if you have been there before, as the updates only appear for you that way for some reason..

There should also be some news regarding the www.fioredeiliberi.org site soon also.

Regards and all the best,

Matt

Thanks Shane - I used to post here pretty regular but have just been really busy recently (seminars, work etc), but I hope things are calming down now so I should be around more often!
As I say, there will be news about the full translation around the Christmas period.

Thanks for the interest guys - the truth is that our translation sat around in a first draft stage for a very long time, while we went 100% into interpretation, training and seminars etc. But now the seminar season is over for us for the winter and we are sitting down and making a go of improving the translation.

Matt,

I can't wait especially if it is out before Christmas. I'm looking forward to sitting by the tree and reading the translation. The prologue is excellent.

Thanks for the hard work. I'm a web master if you have any and use Microsoft Front Page 2000 if you have any questions on page building. Cheers,

Todd
