Battle of Towton

Postby JeffGentry » Sat Sep 11, 2004 7:13 pm

Hello everyone
I found this interesting and thought some other's might to, It is an article about a Mass grave that was found in the UK near Towton, from the battle Of Towton, they are doing an archeology, anthropolgy project there now and they mentioned some of the wound's found on the skeletal remain's and they mentioned the fact that some had mutiply injurie's some were old and had healed, what caught my attention was the fact they mentioned a few injuries to the mandible and ear area, in the text we are usualy told to strike at the ear, seemed they were doing what we are learning.

I thought it might be an interesting read, i enjoyed it and think i may by the book that has been written, hope who ever read's it enjoy's it,let me know your thought's, comment's.

Jeff

Check out the review of the book Blood Red Roses here on the ARMA site. Given the nature of the wounds Hank Reinhardt believes the men in the grave were prisoners who were killed after the battle.
