Regarding our 1.0 this weekend, I was very pleased that so many were able to attend. Approximately half of the attendees were from out of town, and I understand what a commitment that is. Thanks again for coming!
I am encouraged by the new presentation method, as it allows the novice student to move directly into techniques and concepts that are so integral to the subject. In the past, it would usually take some time before a new scholar was introduced to these ideas.
Several months ago I was given a preview of the presentation method, and I think it lives up to the advertisement. I would even encourage those who feel very solid and familiar with the foundational curricula to attend, as a little review of the basics never hurt anyone, but more importantly it will show a new method of teaching the material in a manner more consistent with the ARMA's values of holistic study and application of our fighting arts. And of course you always pick up a new technique or two and get a chance to mingle and cross swords with others in our organization.
A very special Thank You to Aaron and Casper for attending. I'm certain that your presence only enhanced the quality of our event.
John - thanks and we look forward to seeing you again in several weeks at the Mexico City event.
