I mentioned this over on another forum. It's certainly worth a mention here. I'm not sure of the exact count, but there were in the neighborhood of 80 fighters/instuctors at this event. Many different areas of the country and, indeed, the world were represented. Many different levels of experience, competence and knowledge were shown by all. Three days of instruction,training,drilling,test cutting, and sparring. With varying levels of intent. With and without pads and/or armor. Using padded weapons, wooden weapons, blunt steel, and bare hands.
And as far as I know, there were no injuries beyond the usual bumps and bruises associated with martial training. That, to me, is an amazing statistic. And, I think it says a lot about ARMA and what the ARMA method of martial scholarship is all about.
