Jake's presentation will including a comprehensive introduction to Meyer's fencing with the long-sword, an introduction to Meyer's hand-to-hand combat with and without a dagger, and an introduction to Meyer's staff-work(based on the research of ARMA Senior Free Scholar Stacy Clifford).

If you can attend this workshop, you should. It will cover material useful to new beginners in WMA to advanced students.

Personally I would love to attend this workshop and wish I still lived in Alabama so it would be in reasonable driving range. Unfortunately, since I now live in NJ it is just too far. I hope to see a similar workshop at some point for those of us in the Northeast.

Can you define "Free Camping" as it appears on the event information page?Does this imply on-site restroom facilities and running water is available or something more or less? Thanks.

Hi, Shane.

I am defining "Free Camping" as tent space, a place for a campfire if you want one, and free access to one of our houses for water, rest rooms, refrigerator, etc.

I have a couple of extra tents and I can let you borrow one if you want.

Stalls? No, no you don't want one of those. We do have the origional log homestead barn here from the early 1800s we use to keep hay in though. If you just want to sleep in a barn I can let you pull a couple of bales together to make a bed and you could try to sleep on that. <img src="/forum/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />
